01 / A single missing tooth
An implant supports an individual ceramic crown. It replaces the missing tooth without needing to prepare the neighbouring teeth.
02 / Several missing teeth
An implant-supported bridge can replace a group of missing teeth. The number and position of supporting implants are planned after assessment.
03 / A complete fixed smile
All-on-4 and All-on-6 use four or six implants to support a fixed bridge for an entire arch. We assess which approach may suit you.
04 / A more stable removable denture
Implant-retained dentures are a removable “click-in” option for patients seeking additional stability. Your dentist will explain how they differ from a fixed bridge.

Assessment & planning
We review your health, examine your teeth and gums, and use imaging where required. You receive an explanation of the options, risks and proposed treatment.

Implant placement
Implants are usually placed with local anaesthetic. If bone grafting is needed, we explain whether this is planned before or alongside implant placement.

Healing & restoration
Time is allowed for the implant to join with the bone. Your crown or bridge is then made and checked for fit, bite and appearance.

Care for the years ahead
You receive tailored cleaning advice and a review plan. Daily care and regular dental checks help maintain the implant and the surrounding tissues.
Implant treatment takes place over several visits. Your timeline is discussed at assessment and depends on healing and any preparatory treatment.

Am I suitable for dental implants?
We assess your teeth, gums, bone and general health, including medications and smoking. Your consultation also covers alternatives such as a bridge or removable denture.
Does implant placement hurt?
Local anaesthetic is usually used during placement. Some soreness, swelling or bruising can follow. We discuss comfort and give you personal aftercare instructions.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment usually involves several appointments and a healing period before the final restoration. Bone grafting can add time. We explain your expected stages before treatment.
Will I have fixed teeth straight away?
A provisional restoration may be possible in suitable cases. Immediate fixed teeth are not suitable for everyone; your dentist will explain the options following assessment.
What if I have bone loss?
You may need further imaging. Bone grafting or an alternative treatment can be considered if there is not enough bone to support an implant.
How do I care for my implants?
Follow your personalised cleaning instructions and attend regular reviews. Contact us if the restoration feels loose or you notice persistent discomfort or changes around the implant.
Can you assess implants placed elsewhere?
We can assess existing implant work and discuss available options. Please bring your implant records, component details and previous treatment information.
What is included when I travel from outside Dublin?
With All-on-4 or All-on-6 treatment, one night in a Dublin hotel and transport from the clinic to the hotel after the procedure are included. Contact our team to arrange the details.
